Welcome to

These images below are based on my world building project called:  'Auveriah' - part of my wider world of Allvarie. I'm currently writing a book based in Auveriah, and I hope to have it published within the next year or so. Many of these images below will change as the world develops. Please Enjoy!

The Clans

Auveriah is just like our own world - filled with different cultures and peoples. Here are the four clans that can be found throughout the Auverian continent.

The Abdegeii

The Abdegeii focus their mind body and spirit on the sea and the wildlife that surround it. The local 'Knolavymn' (serpentine like creatures) that patrol the surrounding water and mountains shed feathers, and these feathers are used in the Abdegeiian culture.

The feathers signify status in Abdegeiian culture. Each feather denotes one year survived at sea, the more feathers - the bigger the status. Those who don't make their life by sea are either

The Abdegeii are one of the wealthiest tribes in Auveriah. They control trade and are known as a powerful seafaring culture.

The cityscape illustration is of their capital city of 'Gedeiia' located on the western coast of Auveriah in the Bay of Gleiious. Abdegeiia (the former Abdegiian capital) and Sailirra are two other Abdegiian cities that share in the wealth of the bay.

The Medjalrie

The Medjalrie are more nature and family oriented compared to the other tribes of Auveriah, and are steeped in tradtion. The capital city of Medjalrea hosts the Stuverea - a university that studies and protects the knowledge of the ethos. For years, the Stuverea has only accepted Medjalrian young adults. Recently, to repair the damage done by "The Descent" they have started to accept scholars from other tribes in Auveriah.

One of the traditions of the Medjalrie is to bathe in the waters of the Ethosea. When a Medjalrian turns five they are to walk into this sacred pool and the event is welcomed to witness. The Ethos is the life force of this world, and is thought to be buried deep beneath the Ethosea. It is thought that if a child is washed in these waters... they will life a long prosperous life.

The Vigora

The Vigora are masters of their craft. They create the weapons and building materials used throughout Auveriah. Unfortunately, few Vigorans reap the benefits of their labor. The High Born in the cities control the wealth  and there is limited room for mobility. Many of the cities that host the high born remain prosperous green. However, many parts of the Vigoran territory have been stripped of its lush landscape due to over-consumption of materials.

Vigoran colors range mostly in the greens, purples. Although, the high born use the color purple abundantly in their dress particularly because of its royal connotations. The craftsmen who work in the mines and forests usually wear attire that is suited for the work. In the right light, even the uniforms show beautiful greens with gold accents.

The Rocea

The Rocea are known for their farming, and control the food sources in Auveriah. However, they are also required to enlist in the military to protect their food sources.

A well known elite core of this military are the 'Rocaisti', and are highly revered as a fighting force. Many Auverian tribes use them as a mercenaries from time to time.

The emphasis on the military has created a harsh reality for many who do not wish to fight for a living. Many Roceans flee to  Vigoran or Medjalrian lands to pursue their dreams. However, fleeing from military service comes at a cost - banishment from their homelands.

'The Keeper'

The Keepers

Deep under Auveriah lays a space in which all knowledge is protected. This knowledge comes in the from of orbs or 'Ethos' (lifeforce). The 'Keepers' devoted their lives to this knowledge. However, devotion had cost them their their face, their emotions.... their self identity. The only thing necessary is to protect the 'Ethos of Averiah' at all cost.

Every 1000 years, the Auverians celebrate the 'Briliste' (Lightest Day) of which the ethos shines the brightest, but also when a Keeper expires. Each clan has a turn every 1000 years to replace the Keeper with one of their own. It is considered an honorable sacrifice for the individual

There are four known Keepers to exist. A hierarchy stands firm with one leading the others. The Medjalrie have the privilege of sending their own as the 'Illurii' or etiolated (the leader of the Keepers). They have earned this right by protecting the mountain that leads to the underground where the ethos is held.

The Knolavymn

Knolavymn derives from two words: Knowledge and hymn. They have a large understanding of the environment around them, and they communicate by singing. These creatures dwell in every Auverian climate - from the innards of volcanos to the deepest oceans, and they come in many colors and sizes. The Knolavymn are sacred creatures in Auveriah. The Medjalrie have the 'Takknolvii' - a special group of female warriors to protect and care for them. However, there are others who hunt them for sport or to acquire knowledge that is only attainable through the Knolavymn.

While the majority of the Knolavymn are peaceful creatures... it is unwise to cross them... for they are known put up a fight. Many of the Knolavymn cannot fly, but have the ability to climb incredible heights and then glide down, as well as, swim. However, there are those that can fly, but they are known as 'The Divine' and have not been seen for generations.
